Frequently asked questions

What Chup is, how the digital stamp card works, what it costs, and how to start a loyalty program for your café.

What is Chup?

Chup is a free digital loyalty app for cafés and other food & drink businesses. Instead of a paper stamp card, customers collect digital stamps on their phone every visit and earn free rewards — and the owner runs the whole loyalty program from their phone.

How does a digital loyalty card work?

Each café has a digital stamp card. When a customer visits, the café scans their member QR (or looks them up) and adds a stamp. When the card reaches a reward milestone — say 10 stamps — the customer earns a reward to redeem in person, then the card starts fresh.

Do customers need to download an app?

No. Chup runs in the web browser and can be added to a phone's home screen like an app — there's nothing to install from an app store. Customers sign in with Google in one tap the first time they collect a stamp.

Is Chup free?

Chup is free for customers, always. For café owners, running your loyalty program, menu and rewards is free; from 1 November 2026 a new business pays a one-time BND 20 registration fee to join (businesses that registered earlier are unaffected). Advanced tools are an optional paid upgrade called Chup Pro.

How do I set up a loyalty program for my café?

Sign up as a vendor, design your stamp card (how many stamps per reward, and what the rewards are), and start scanning customers at the counter. There's no hardware to buy — your phone is the scanner.

Does Chup replace plastic or paper stamp cards?

Yes. Everything lives on the customer's phone, so there are no cards to print, carry or lose — and you never run out of them.

What is Chup Pro?

Chup Pro is an optional paid upgrade that adds advanced tools on top of the free loyalty program — analytics with a monthly AI read of your café, staff accounts and scheduling, a counter POS, stock tracking, order-ahead and bookings. See the pricing page for details.

How do customers find cafés on Chup?

Through the café directory and map, which lists every café on Chup along with what's on nearby. Customers can also join a café instantly by scanning its QR in-store.

Which businesses can use Chup?

Chup started with cafés and is built for food & drink businesses generally — coffee shops, bubble-tea and dessert spots, bakeries and restaurants all run loyalty programs on it.

Is Chup available in my area?

Chup launched in Brunei and is expanding to new areas. If you run a café or F&B business you can sign up today and start your loyalty program.

Who makes Chup?

Chup is built and run by everBetter Innovations (everbetter.site).
